Meet Greg

When I was 16, I lost my beloved Grandpa Charlie to a stroke. Overwhelmed by depression, I turned to alcohol and painkillers. Running saved my life. A daily running ritual helped me overcome depression, meet encouraging friends, and find my path to purpose.

I was lucky to earn scholarships to my dream schools, UChicago and Cambridge, and became a youth mentor to pay it forward. Organizations I’ve founded, Moneythink and Dyad Mentorship, helped students earn over $27 million in scholarships and were recognized by the World Economic Forum and President Obama as a “Champion of Change.”

A simple philosophy guides my life and leadership, running and recovery: Keep Showing Up.

Since 2016, I've logged over 20,000 miles and set 56 Fastest Known Time records as a Brooks Global Ambassador. Brooks gives me the tools and traction to take on the toughest terrain — whether Antarctic ice, Andean sand dunes, Shanghai streets, Cuban coastline, or Puget Sound shoreline.
